Coffee Soap and Lunch on Saturday with Anne Marie

This last saturday I went to lunch with several NW soapers and Anne-Marie of Brambleberry and Rebecca of Sunnybrook farms. What a fun time! OF course any chance to talk soap is a blast! I really enjoyed meeting several soapers and getting to know them , to me that was one of the high lights of the day!

Each of us were asked to bring our best and worse soaps. To my delight my coffee soap won best. I was actually surprized! There were several beautiful soaps on the table! Heck even some of the "ugly" soaps were pretty amazing!

Of course the best part of my day was finally getting to meet Anne-Marie! I have had the pleasure of ordering from her for the past 8 years and also been in a couple of swaps together. To finally meet in person was a treat! She is one amazing woman! Not only is she an inspiration business wise, but her way of being happy and willingness to help others learn and grow is wonderful!

Thank you Kate for heading up the lunch it was a blast!

I love this soap! I feel honored to have won runner-up with all the wonderful soaps there!
I was checking out your Etsy shop and was wondering where you get your colored foil for your bath candies? I looked all over for some during Valentines Day!

My son was in awe of your soap! For being a shy guy he notices everything, he thought your soap was really neat and was shocked my soap won! lol. Got to love kids! The foil wrappers I got from someone doing a garage sale a few years ago. They are out there but I haven't searched yet to find replacements, which I need to do. I will let you know when I do find somewhere that has them

Lol...I was a shy one too at his age. I would have sent it home with him had I known! I think it was left there for the waiters. :(
But yes, please let me know if you find any replacements. I've looked online and found colored foil, but nothing thin enough

Hi Michelle,
Just wanted to let you know that I found some of the foils on WSP...under packaging

I remembered seeing the question about the colored foil and just ran into a website that has them listed.

I don't know how pricing compares, but thought I would post anyway.

Thanks Trish! Seems like all the sites I have looked at about the foils are close in price

Joanna
I am back to work and feel like my creativity is starting to be drained, once I get back into the swing of things I plan to add more candles and soaps to my line. I am sooooo addicted to soap making! Looking at what others have been making really makes me want to get more creative with my soaps. One thing I am wanting to try is a facial serum, mainly for under the eyes.
